About The City Life Church

The City Life Church is a multi-denominational congregation started as a church plant out of Christian Life Center in Williamsburg, Virginia (www.clc.vg). To truly get to know us you have to visit. Titles and creedal statements can never truly express the heart, vision and community feel of a church. We encourage those who want to know who we are to visit us and see for themselves. That being said, The City Life Church could be described as an evangelical charismatic church that cherishes a strong Pentecostal heritage with mainline evangelical traditions.

The City Life Church is founded on the blueprint of the New Testament church and uses the Bible as a pattern for church growth and structure. We are an autonomous local church, operated by a local team of leaders under the direction of the Lead Pastor, Fred Michaux. We are apostolically accountable to Pastors Tom Wells (Christian Life Center, Williamsburg) and Mike Giroux (The City Church, DC) who founded TCLC in January of 2006. Together, we are all affiliated with

Minister's Fellowship International (www.mfi-online.org) of Portland, Oregon.

The City Life Church is marked by several notable characteristics and emphases including faith, intercession, spiritual worship, gifts of the spirit, relevant and inspiring teaching, racial diversity, liberal giving, ministry to the poor, relational discipleship, social services, international missions, unity, love and compassion, generation ministries and the anointing of the Holy Spirit within the context of a passionate desire for revival and spiritual awakening.

The goal of The City Life Church is to become a city center for life through the person and power of Jesus Christ - a church that is a place of refuge for people of all races, ages and economic levels, preaching a message of good news and building a church that reflects the New Testament pattern.
